Analyzed data and literature to explore the hypothesis that the water cycle has been the stabilizing factor in earth's climate.

NOAA Internship: Office of Marine and Aviation Operations
Research: Analyzed the performance evaluations of aircraft and ship operations and researched energy transportation as part of the Marine Transportation System with the Office of Coast Survey.

NOAA Internship: NOS-NOAA Centers for Coastal Ocean Science
Research: Composed fact sheets and web pages for public use on NCCOS topics.

 

 

 

 

Maya Nunley

NOAA Internship: OAR-Air Resources Lab
Research: Tested the air quality in the parking decks of the NOAA Silver Spring campus and at poultry facilities to determine the amount of airborne ammonia.

Research: Created animation for National Digital Forecast Database website.

 

 

 

 

Angel Washington

NOAA Internship: NMFS- Office of Protected Resources
Research: Studied data on the loggerhead sea turtle and created a brochure for public information. In addition, a bibliographical database on tuna/dolphin research was created.

 

 

 

Alyssa Wilson

Research: Collected information on coral reefs, estuarine habitats, and coral reef restoration. Supported and assessed the programs and the educational activities of the inter-agency Coral Reef Task Force.

Research: Determined the average annual chlorophyll concentration of Lakes Superior, Michigan, Erie , and Ontario , utilizing computer applications and satellite imagery.
